MessageToEagle.com - Dinosaurs are long gone on our planet, but they could be very much alive elsewhere.
Scientists are now considering seriously the possibility that highly evolved and intelligent dinosaurs are controlling alien worlds.
This theory is based on new research which suggests that advanced
versions of T. rex and other dinosaurs, monstrous creatures with the intelligence and cunning of humans
may be the life forms that evolved on other planets in the universe.
"We would be better off not meeting them," concludes the study.
In the report, which appears in the Journal of the American Chemical Society noted scientist Ronald Breslow, Ph.D., discusses the century-old mystery of why the building blocks of terrestrial amino acids
(which make up proteins), sugars, and the genetic materials DNA and RNA exist mainly in one orientation or shape.
There are two possible orientations, left and right, which mirror each other in the same way as hands.
This is known as "chirality." In order for life to arise, proteins, for instance, must contain only one chiral form of amino acids, left or right.
With the exception of a few bacteria, amino acids in all life on Earth have the left-handed orientation.
Most sugars have a right-handed orientation. How did that so-called homochirality, the predominance of one chiral form, happen?
Breslow describes evidence supporting the idea that the unusual amino acids carried to a lifeless Earth by meteorites about 4 billion years ago set the
pattern for normal amino acids with the L-geometry, the kind in terrestial proteins, and how those could lead to D-sugars of the kind in DNA.
Even though dinosuars are extinct today, these remarkable creatures keep fascinating us.
"Of course," Breslow says, "showing that it could have happened this way is not the same as showing that it did."
He adds: "An implication from this work is that elsewhere in the universe there could be life forms based on D-amino acids and L-sugars.
Such life forms could well be advanced versions of dinosaurs, if mammals did not have the good fortune to have the dinosaurs wiped out by an asteroidal
collision, as on Earth. We would be better off not meeting them."
So, maybe the highly advanced forms of dinosuars are really roaming other planets....
New Evidence Links Earth's Extreme Weather To Human-Caused Global Warming
The past decade has been one of unprecedented weather extremes. Scientists of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) in Germany argue that the high incidence of extremes is not merely accidental.
From the many single events a pattern emerges. At least for extreme rainfall and heat waves the link with human-caused global warming is clear...
Earth Is In The Middle Of A Space-Time Vortex
Earth sits in the middle of a space-time vortex.
Einstein predicted this almost 100 years ago and he was right.
Space-time around Earth seems to be distorted, just a general relativity predicts.
Alcubierre Warp Drive - A Doomsday Weapon?
Is the Alcubierre warp drive a doomsday weapon or our passport to the Universe?
The Alcubierre warp drive is a theoretical tool that would allow for spacecraft to travel long distances in space rapidly,
by deforming the space-time continuum in a bubble around the spaceship...
Powerful Jet Pointing Directly At Earth
They are among the most fascinating cosmic phenomena. Astronomers know them as blazars and each of them harbors a supermassive black hole and jets emanating
in opposite directions from near its poles. These sources are unique evidence of the most extreme speeds and energies known in the extreme Universe...
Proof Of How The Universe Is Changing
Though the universe is filled with billions upon billions of stars, the discovery of a single variable star in 1923 altered the
course of modern astronomy. And, at least one famous astronomer of the time lamented that the discovery had shattered his world view.
Blueprint For Nuclear Clock Accurate Over Billions Of Years!
A clock accurate to within a tenth of a second over 14 billion years – the age of the universe – is an important goal for scientists.
A nuclear clock could be as much as one-hundred times more accurate
than current atomic clocks, which now serve as the basis for the global positioning system (GPS) and a broad range of important measurements.
New Quantum Discovery Sheds Light On Mysteries Of Cosmology
University of Chicago physicists have experimentally demonstrated, for the first time, that atoms chilled to temperatures near absolute zero may behave like seemingly
unrelated natural systems of vastly different scales, offering potential insights into links between the atomic realm and deep questions of cosmology.
