MessageToEagle.com - Depending on the situation and place, looking at the clouds can be relaxing, educative and sometimes even a little scary, like for example when you look at the picture of those eyes seen staring from behind the clouds...

Have you ever seen anything unusual when you have gazed at the sky and admired the colors of the clouds?

Cloud formations can be astonishing to watch.

It often happens people see what they think are landscapes, patterns and various constructions in the clouds.

Rare cloud formations can be unforgettable.

As curious and fantastic as it may sound, people all over the world have filmed strange faces appearing in the sky.

Some of these faces are funny, others are almost creepy

We have put together a collection of some the most astonishing "faces in the sky" seen be people worldwide.

What can you see on this image? People see a face with staring eyes. Many would say it is weird and somewhat creepy. This face was filmed in Makeevki, Russia during a thunderstorm.

Interestingly, people also reported seeing a "Miracle Cross" during the storm. Look at the video and judge for yourself what you think.

It is not a naturally occurring one. Looking perhaps a bit like a gigantic owl monster, the cloud pictured above resulted from a series of flares released by an air force jet over the Atlantic Ocean in May.

The images above come from, respectively, CNN's television coverage and a photo snapped by freelance photographer Mark D. Phillips (who subsequently sold his picture to Associated Press) as New York's World Trade Center towers burned after the terrorist attack on 11 September 2001. Neither image was manipulated.

Naturally, there is a scientific explanation why we see faces in various objects. Scientists call it Pareidolia. It is a psychological phenomenon involving a vague and random stimulus (often an image or sound) being perceived as significant. Common examples include seeing images of animals or faces in clouds, the man in the moon, and hearing hidden messages on records played in reverse.

Nevertheless, as we have just seen, cloud formations can be incredible to watch. We really live in an amazing world!
