Highly Advanced Extraterrestrial Civilizations Could Have Lived On Earth, Mars And Venus Billions Of Years Ago – Scientist Says

Cynthia McKanzie – MessageToEagle.com – Modern astronomers use telescopes to search for life out in deep space, but could evidence of extraterrestrials be found much closer to our planet?

A scientist has suggested that highly advanced extraterrestrial civilizations might have lived on Earth, Mars and even Venus billions of years ago.

Why these extraterrestrial civilizations vanished without a trace is unknown, but we could find proof of their advanced technology in our solar system.

Jason T. Wright, an astronomer from Pennsylvania State University has published a very intriguing academic paper about “prior indigenous technological species”.

Wright suggests that extraterrestrial spacefaring species might have produced artifacts or other technosignatures that have survived to present day and if we look, we can find evidence of these extinct aliens somewhere in the Solar System.

Wright states that the idea that humans are not the first, or only, technological species to arise in the Solar System is very old, but finding evidence of a long lost extraterrestrial race is  of course very difficult.

After such a long time most of the archaeological evidence of an ancient extraterrestrial civilization would probably have been lost because Earth’s plate tectonics would have “erased” the traces of these aliens, Wright explains.

Was our Solar System once home to advanced extraterrestrial races?

So, where can we expect to find these extraterrestrial artifacts? According to Wright, scientists should focus on investigating what is buried beneath the ground. Artifacts hidden underground could have survived asteroid impacts.

“Remaining indigenous technosignatures might be expected to be extremely old, limiting the places they might still be found beneath the surfaces of Mars and the Moon, or in the outer Solar System.

Structures buried beneath surfaces might survive and be discoverable as long as they do not suffer a collision so severe that their artificial nature is obliterated. Merely destroying them would render them nonfunctional, but they might still be recognizably technological.

We might conjecture that settlements or bases on these objects would have been built beneath the surface for a variety of reasons, and so still be discoverable today,” Wright added.

He also suggested that that very old spaceship could still be lingering in the Asteroid Belt or Kuiper Belt, a disc at the very edge of the solar system that’s made up of icy objects.

These artifacts are likely to be the remains of ancient probes, space bases or industrial facilities.

It is not the first time researchers suggest alien artifact could exist in our Solar System. Scientists have previously made clear that we should also not dismiss the possibility that ET artifacts could exists close to our planet and some alien devices might even observe us. One of the reasons we have not found such alien artifacts is because we have not looked in all places, scientists from Penn State University say.

“The vastness of space, combined with our limited searches to date, implies that any remote unpiloted exploratory probes of extraterrestrial origin would likely remain unnoticed,” said Jacob Haqq-Misra, Rock Ethics Institute, and Ravi Kumar Kopparapu, Earth and Environmental Systems Institute.

So far, we have not found any non-terrestrial artifacts in our solar system.
