Unknown Force "Intelligently" Put Together Miranda Moon

31 January, 2012

MessageToEagle.com - What could melt this moon in this extremely cold region of the solar system?

Voyager 2 passed Miranda’s strange world at a distance of only 3,000 kilometers (1,800 miles) and sent back to Earth very detailed images of its "tortured" surface.

Nothing like them has been seen anywhere else in the solar system! Did a type III civilization conduct some "experiments" on Miranda?

Though only 470 km in diameter, which is one-seventh as large as Earth's moon, Miranda looks pretty badly. Someone or something pieced the satellite all together from parts that didn't quite merge properly.

Miranda, discovered in 1948 by American planetary astronomer Gerard Kuiper, has several types of terrains which differ strikingly.

A seemingly ancient, cratered terrain is rent by deep fault valleys, rolling, subdued hills and ridges developed at the expense of, or replacing, the first terrain type.

By comparison, the impact crater at the bottom of this image is about 15 miles across. Miranda's frozen world is very strange and complex in its composition. Some of the volcanic materials are intrinsically darker and in other places faults expose darker material situated much deeper down.

The satellite's intersecting curvilinear ridges and troughs are abruptly truncated by the linear, grooved terrain. It seems very unlikely that this variety could have been caused by geological activity in such a small moon.

In 1986, Voyager 2 made its close approach to the Uranian moon.

A complex array of fractures, grooves, and craters is evident in this image, pointing to an active geologic history. The grooves reach depths of a few kilometers. The image is about 240 km across. Miranda's surface consists of two strikingly different major types of terrain. One is an old, heavily cratered, rolling terrain with relatively uniform albedo, or reflectivity. The other is a young, complex terrain characterized by sets of bright and dark bands, scarps and ridges features found in the ovoid regions at the top and bottom and in the distinctive "chevron" feature above and to the right of center. No one knows for sure what happened on Miranda in a distant past.

The moon seems to be made of three or four huge lumps of rock that have fused together.

According to one theory, Miranda formed of the remains of a moon that was once shattered probably five times, by an massive impact (a collision with an asteroid (?)) and then managed in some way to pull itself back together again through the gravitational force.

Another speculation is that Miranda melted in some places so craters and cliffs appeared.

Both explanations are not particularly satisfying.

There is also another possibility, namely that a several million years old alien civilization had something to do with Miranda's odd formation. A type III civilization, as suggested by Dr. Michio Kaku, could harness the power of billions of stars within a galaxy and also be perfectly able to put together planets and moons, as well as move them to a different location.

Did a type III civilization use Miranda as a proving ground in the past? Anything is possible.

These are of course intriguing questions to which we currently have no answer. What is certain is that at least, one more flyby is necessary to take a closer look at this strange and chaotic frozen world.

Super-Earth Discovered Orbiting Several Suns
Scientists at the University of Goettingen and the Carnegie Institution for Science in the U.S. Washington have discovered a potentially habitable planet, located 22 light years away from Earth. The super-Earth, named GJ 667Cc has the mass four and a half times that of our Earth and an orbit of 28.15 days. The planet GJ 667Cc orbits a dwarf star of the class M, 22 light years away which corresponds to approximately 209 trillion kilometers.

Astrophysicist Resolves Paradox With Radio Millisecond Pulsars
Celestial objects known as pulsars are still full of secrets. It is takes time and many efforts to learn all their secrets. Previous studies reached the paradoxical conclusion that some millisecond pulsars are even older than the universe itself. It was time to resolve this paradox.

Cosmic Vibrations From Neutron Stars
In the collision of neutron stars, the extremely compact remnants of evolved and collapsed stars, two light stars merge to one massive star. The newly-born heavyweight vibrates, sending out characteristic waves in space-time. Model calculations at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics now show how such signals can be used to determine the size of neutron stars and how we can learn more about the interior of these exotic objects.

Unusual Sounds From Space Reported Worldwide - What Are They?
For almost a year now people from different countries have reported hearing strange sound from the sky. Now scientists propose that what people are hearing is only a small fraction of the actual power of these sounds! What are these sounds? What is causing them? Are they in anyway related to our Sun and the biggest solar flares, do they come from Earth's inner core or can they be attributed to an unknown an astronomical phenomenon? Are they in anyway dangerous to our planet?
