There are many secrets still remaining around the creation of Stonehenge.
Who built it? For what purpose did it serve? How did the builders move the colossal stones across such a distance, and erect them in such a way?
There have been many theories, from ancients struggling with crude tools to erect a place of worship, to giants, and visitors from beyond the
stars constructing something more mysterious.
Unfortunately, no written record has ever been found. All what has been saved is
mentioned in folklore, and of course much of it appeared in Arthurian legend, King Arthur, his 12 knights, the round
table and the elusive and mystical Holy Grail,
which came about a few thousand years after the estimated date Stonehenge was built.

The giant sarsen stones forming the outer circle came from the Marlborough Downs, 20 miles north of Stonehenge.
The biggest of these, 8ft long, 5ft wide, 25ft long weighed around 20 to 30 tons or more. Not only did the builders raise these giant stones, they
placed a lintel across the top, and all in a perfect circle.

The bluestones came from the Preseli Mountains (or Hills) in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, and 140 miles from Stonehenge.
Weighing up to 4 tons each, there were 60 of these used to form the inner circle.
The monument itself was said to have been built over a period of 300 to 500 years.
Some say 1500 years.
Facts vary as much as the theories.
Yet, we are still filled by wonder and awe at its sheer size and mystical presence.
The stones chosen for any stone circle contain a large amount of crystalline material, which so happens to attract and conduct electromagnetism in the ground.
Stonehenge was built on the largest ley line in Britain. It runs down the longest part of Britain.
Fourteen or so other ley lines meet at Stonehenge. Stonehenge's location is on a major planetary grid point.
Which raises the question: Who were the ancients that figured this out? What did it mean to them?

The Preseli Hills where the bluestones came from are crisscrossed with ley lines. Ancient tracks, standing stones and burial chambers adorn the hills as
they glisten with white quartz crystal.
Not only was the Preseli Hills considered a holy place way back in history, the stones, even today are considered magical and healing.
They are warm to the touch, and when broken open and polished, they look like the night sky sparkling with stars.
Stonehenge remains a place full of secrets...
Whoever built Stonehenge, certainly knew what they needed with energies in mind.
It is said that the layout of Stonehenge forms a 'chalice' (or cauldron) containing a mandala of energy. It is in this Shire, Wiltshire, that crop
circles appear in great numbers too. Is there a connection?
Was Stonehenge once a giant astronomical observatory? A place of worship? A place of healing?
