Bizarre Sightings Of Mysterious Jet Pack Man Flying Over L.A. Airport Investigated By The FBI

Cynthia McKanzie – MessageToEagle.com – You never know what you’ll see in the sky do you? Something odd is happening in the skies over Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and the FBI is now investigating bizarre sightings of a mysterious jet pack man observed by pilots.

This may sound like a joke, but it is not.

The person, whose identity remains unknown has been observed twice since late August.

A China Airlines crew reported seeing the person at an altitude of about 6,000 feet 7 miles northwest of the airport at about 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said.

“At 1:45 p.m. PST, the crew of the LAX-bound China Airlines Flight 006, a Boeing 777 coming from Taipei, alerted air traffic controllers of the strange sight,” Popular Mechanics reports.

Here’s part of the transcript of the conversation between the China Airlines crew and air traffic control, according to audio obtained by The War Zone:

China Airlines 006: “We just saw a bright object at 6,000.”

LAX Tower: “006 heavy can you say that one more time please?”

China Airlines 006: “We saw a flying object like a [this part is hard to decipher, but it sounded like] flight suit jetpack at 6,000.”

LAX Tower: “Was it a UAV or was it a jetpack?”

China Airlines 006: “Like a jetpack. Too shiny. It’s too far.”

LAX Tower: “006 heavy, roger, thank you… Emirates 215 heavy there was a jetpack reported about 13 miles ahead.”

The previous sighting occurred on August 29, when a pilot for American Airlines Flight 1997 reported seeing the jetpack-clad person only about 300 yards from the jet.

A second pilot also reported seeing a person flying with a jetpack about 3,000 feet up and 10 miles from the airport that day.

“Only in LA,” one pilot said over the radio.

The Federal Aviation Administration has alerted local law enforcement and a spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has told the New York Times the Bureau is “investigating multiple reports of what, according to witnesses, appeared to be an individual in a jetpack near LAX.”

Leigh Coates, the first female jetpack pilot, previously told Fox 11 that it’s possible for a jetpack to go as high as 18,000 feet, but fuel limits the range.

“Jetpacks are also loud, so people near LAX would have heard it and taken pictures or videos,” she told Fox 11.

Coates suggested it could have actually been a manikin strapped onto a drone. But either way, flying in the path of jets is dangerous.
