Unexplained Phenomena At Mysterious Ancient Gungywamp – Is It A Gateway To A Parallel Reality?

Ellen Lloyd – MessageToEagle.com – Our journey takes us to an ancient complex consisting of various stone structures of unknown origin…

No-one knows who constructed this site, but its builders were skilled astronomers.

This is intriguing place has been a scene of many strange phenomena… The site is believed to serve as a portal to an unknown world. Why does time stand still in certain parts of the place? Why do the site’s visitors experience unpleasant physiological effects?

Gungywamp near the area of North Groton, Connecticut is an intriguing ancient complex consisting of various stone structures of unknown origin.
The complex which covers an area of fifty-five acres is divided into north and south sections, and includes double circle of stones, standing stones, and several stone chambers.

Little is known about this ancient place and archaeologists are still trying to determine who built the settlement. No-one even knows the meaning of its name. Some maintain that Gungywamp is a Mohegan word for “Place of Ledges.”

Others claim it is Pequot for “Swampy Place.”

Is Gungywamp an abandoned Native American site which is only a few hundred years old, or is the story behind this interesting ancient place much more complex?

According to one theory, Gungywamp was first used by Native Americans and later by colonial settlers.
Another theory states that the site may date to 600 A.D. and was created by Culdee monks fleeing Ireland. Interestingly, an unusual complex in Groton has been dated back to nearly 2,000 B.C. Some more open-minded researchers believe that Gungywamp was originally built by ancient Celts.

Is there perhaps a hidden connection between Druids and Gungywamp?

The site’s magnificent chambers resemble similar structures in Ireland and Brittany which are of Celtic origin.

Druids were excellent astronomers who plotted the motions of the planets and mapped the heavens. They were also able to predict lunar-, and solar eclipses, and the exact date of the equinoxes and solstices.

The builders of Gungywamp had a great appreciation for astronomy.

“Inside the complex, a dry-walled stone chamber that hosts the sun’s ray has at least four solar alignments. The autumnal and vernal equinoxes and the summer and winter solstices are all marked by beams of light that illuminate the chamber in different ways.

The precise orientation to celestial events makes the chamber an ancient calendar, a Stonehenge of sorts. The chances of this being accidental are, no pun indented, astronomical. This screams of great antiquity,” says David Barron, president of the Gungywamp Society.

The largest intact chamber at Gungywamp has unusual affect on people.
Mr. Barron who regularly shows the site noticed that many people experience strange effects when entering the chamber.
Some people feel dizzy, other light-headed, some nauseated, and others get a strong headache.
Without doubt, the chamber has a negative effect on a person’s physical well-being.

The Cliff of tears inside the Gungywamp complex is an intriguing place which has been a scene of many strange phenomena.
This location sits on top of a massive deposit of pure iron ore in the form of the magnetite.
This ancient site is interesting for a number of reasons. People who visit the Cliff of tears experience various unpleasant physiological effects, unusual paranormal phenomena and there is reason to think the place serves as a buffer between our world and a parallel reality.

The Cliff of Tears got its name because people who visit the site suddenly start to cry for no discernible reason. Other visitors have experienced spontaneous nosebleeds, or sometimes even bleeding through their eyes, ears and fingernails.

Once many years ago, when Mr. Barron led a group of people on a tour, an elderly woman approached him. She had large tears flowing down her cheeks. She said: “I don’t know why I am crying, I actually feel quite happy, here they are!”
Mr. Barron assured her this happened frequently to people who visited the site. “Well, this must be the Cliff of Tears, the woman replied.”

“The name stuck and since that time we have discovered that a huge vein of magnetite, reversed in polarity, extends through the cliff. this has a significant effect on lowering blood pressure, causing a flow toward the extremites, fine capillaries, etc. ‘ I suspect this is one of the reason why birds avoid the area, since the lodestone confuses them and disorients them,” Mr. Barron explains.

In the summer of 1991, Charles Boyle, the late scientific researcher who was interested in ancient civilizations, visited the Gungywamp complex and experienced something that suggests this fascinating place could be a portal to another unknown world.

“After looking at the main complex and the chambers i noticed what I thought to was etchings on a large rock near what is called the “Solstice Chamber”.
As I took a closer look, i realized that they were not natural scratches in the rock, but it looked to me like an ancient form of Phoenician. I had always heard that many ancient people built rites such as this, over ground that contained a high content of energy.
I was told about the Cliff of Tears and the incidents where the people who walked into the area experienced bleeding from the eyes, ears and sometimes nose.
I had also heard stories about physiological effects, that is changes in their vital signs, which include pulse and blood pressure. It could be that the energy in the area is focused at the Cliff of tears, so I had to go there to find out for myself, ” Charles Boyle recalled.

Together with his friends, he journeyed up the path that lead to the Cliff of Tears. Mr. Boyle was a little surprised to see a very large amount of iron ore that was scattered everywhere. parts of it seemed to have “fallen down the hill in some sort of avalanche”. When Mr. Boyle and his company were close to the hill, they started feeling dizzy, and then something odd happened…

Druids
“At that point I heard a sound that caught my attention and I looked away from the group. When I looked back, they all looked like statues, like they were frozen!

This was really bizarre because there was no movement anywhere not even a sound from a bird, it was as if time stood still. this lasted about ten seconds, then without warning, I once again heard sounds and the people I was with started moving and talking as if nothing happened. I ran over to them and asked them if they had noticed anything strange, but they looked at me as if I were strange.

I told them what had just transpired, and they said that according to their point of view nothing happened, everyone was moving normally. I know something very unusual took place, perhaps the energy in the are actually did something to the movement of time, ” Charles Boyle said.

Perhaps the energy around the Cliff of Tears is so strong it can cause a time dilation effect. Scattered time fractions around the area would also explain why time suddenly stopped for Mr. Boyle.

The ancient Gungywamp site and the Cliff of Tears remain a fascinating and unsolved mystery. Why did the builders choose this particular place, where the energy is so strong? Was it because they knew the site served as a portal to another reality? Were the creators of Gungywamp in communication with other worlds or perhaps even the spirit realm?

Perhaps there is a perfectly natural explanation that we just haven’t been able to figure out yet, but for the moment this place remains shrouded in mystery.
